PROFIDUR — Coated professional profile band saw blade

Cutting large profiles and beams is always a challenge for the band saw blade. Different shapes and sizes of materials tend to create vibrations during cutting, which can have a destructive effect on the stability and life of the cutting edge. In the segment of bimetallic blades, we have found a solution in the form of the robust PROFLEX M42 geometry. However, this solution has its limits.

In case of insufficient production capacity, it has been necessary to increase the number of machines and their operators. However, the WIKUS development engineers were not willing to accept this situation and boldly accepted the challenge to find a more efficient solution. By combining all the experience gained so far from the materials used, the specific geometries as well as the properties of the coated band saw blades, they created this unique PROFIDUR type.

This combines the ideal quality of the carbide used and its subsequent precision grinding into a durable geometry with a positive tooth rake angle, variable tooth pitch for greater versatility, suitable backing material for long life and finally coating for greater stability and wear resistance.

This solution offers high cutting performance, very long service life and excellent cutting surface quality without burrs.
