MARATHON X3000 — Band saw blade for materials with high tensile strength

WIKUS has developed the X3000 cutting material specifically for cutting high-alloy, difficult-to-machine materials as well as hardened steels with tensile strengths above 1000 N/mm². It is characterized by high hardness and excellent toughness. This combination of material properties leads to particularly good cutting edge stability.

In combination with a tempered alloy steel backing material, the MARATHON X3000 bimetal band saw blade achieves excellent long-term performance.

1. Special surface treatment for extra smooth rounding of the tooth gap to prevent blade cracking.
2. Variable tooth pitch with 5 tooth intervals for optimum chip separation and reduced cutting edge stress even at high friction.
3. Body made of tempered alloy steel with excellent properties for continuous operation.
   
4. The positive rake angle of the tooth face makes it easier to cut into the material and forms the chip better.
5. High cutting edge stability and wear resistance.
   
6. Modified cutting edge material with high hardness enables cutting of metals with tensile strength exceeding 1000 N/mm².
