ECODUR — Affordable band saw blade for non-ferrous foundries
Materials made of aluminium, copper and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys have high processing requirements. Series production in foundries requires precise and often automated cutting of ingots and risers. In order to process cast parts economically in these applications, WIKUS has developed the ECODUR band saw blade with teeth made of a specific carbide material adapted to the requirements of non-ferrous metals and their alloys.
Thanks to the ground trapezoidal tooth with positive rake face angle, it cuts full materials cleanly and quickly. Short cutting times result in a noticeable increase in productivity. The high surface quality of the cutting surfaces, requiring only minor post-treatment, also contributes to this.
